{"id":1218,"date":"2013-10-29T19:23:50","date_gmt":"2013-10-29T19:23:50","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.tidworthrpc.org\/?page_id=1218"},"modified":"2026-04-03T14:23:43","modified_gmt":"2026-04-03T13:23:43","slug":"competition-instruction","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.tidworthrpc.org\/?page_id=1218","title":{"rendered":"Competition Instruction"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>This is a quick overview of the competitions shot at Old Sarum and Andover ranges.<\/p>\n<h1><strong>America Match <\/strong>(15 rounds)<\/h1>\n<p>Sighting series (25m) 1 x series of 5 shots in 2.5 minutes. *<\/p>\n<p><strong>Practice 1 (25m)<\/strong> 2 x series of 5 shots in 2.5 minutes.<br><strong>Practice 2 (25m)<\/strong> 2 x series of 5 shots in 30 seconds.<br><strong>Practice 3 (25m)<\/strong> 2 x series of 5 shots in 20 seconds.<\/p>\n<p>* We usually do this into the sand as we often shoot this after a \u2018precision\u2019 comp.<\/p>\n<p>_____________________________________<\/p>\n<h1><strong>Timed &amp; Precision<\/strong> (30 rounds)<\/h1>\n<p>Any sights<br>Targets: 1 x DP2 (GCRF, LBP &amp; LBR)<\/p>\n<p>Position: Standing unsupported (no slings allowed)<\/p>\n<p>Ready position: 45 degrees&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Practice 1: 25m<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The target will make one appearance of 2 minutes.<br>The competitor will fire 12 shots, starting loaded with 6 rounds and reloading with 6 rounds within the 2 minutes.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Practice 2: 15m<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The target will make 6 appearances of 2 seconds each, with intervals of 5 seconds.<br>One shot is to be fired at each appearance.<br>The competitor must return to the ready position between appearances.<br>This practice will be shot twice.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Practice 3: 10m<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The target will make 3 appearances of 3 seconds each, with intervals of 5 seconds.<br>Two shots are to be fired at each appearance.<br>The competitor must return to the ready position between appearances.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Range Commands<\/strong> (for all three practices)<br>At start of practice:<br>With 6 rounds load and make ready.<br>Are you ready?<br>If anyone calls Not ready! then respond<br>Not ready called.
